Gingham...

I'm sure you have all seen how popular gingham is becoming. It is absolutely everywhere! I knew I wanted some sort of gingham for the spring/ summer, but when I saw this purple gingham I knew I had found the piece I had been waiting for!

I love the breeziness of this dress. It is an almost gauze like material. It's very soft and easy to wear. It is a little oversized so I had to belt it but I think the brown weaving of this belt added to dress actually!

Here's a better look at the dress and the belt. It came with the white slip that comes under it, but I think it could also be paired with a darker slip and darker belt to turn it into a night piece.

These flats are the cutest and one of my favorites! I love wearing them but they are so delicate that I am always a little scared! The silver embellishments really complemented the purple and white mixture of the dress which I really loved! The flats are also a really soft green- yellow velvet, which made them feel really fancy even though they are flats!

I don't know if you can tell yet, but I am complete flower girl! I am all about beautiful and colorful flowers! For most of my photos, I find that I gravitate towards colorful flowers or some sort of plant life as my backdrop. These were some of the prettiest flowers that I saw in my neighborhood and I knew the purple dress would really pop with the purples and pinks of these flowers.
