Well friends’… good news is Mondays over, but there are still some days to get through before the weekend is here! Luckily I’ve got an all-new post for you guys! Being out in the desert, I always get some serious boho vibes. I love the simplicity of boho dressing but also the chicness that follows. Something about the boho style just always works at making flowy look fab! This dress is nothing short of that theory. It is actually a shirt that I turned into a dress (yes, VERY boho of me). Sometimes the oversized look just works. Especially when you’ve got a cute little shoe to tie the whole look together. I’ve been wearing these shoes on repeat. I love the brown suede, and the wrap detailing is a perfect way to dress up any and all outfits.

Have a great week lovelies!

Check back in soon!

P.s.- Been feeling pretty badass/boho with my hand tat.

Hi Friends! Haven’t been around these parts in awhile it seems. I have been very busy lately with traveling, work, and home life. Of course I love blogging and sharing my fashion styles and inspirations, but sometimes it feels good to take a little step back and gain some perspective. But I am happy to present to you today an all-new post featuring my favorite dress this summer and maybe of all time!

This dress is spectacular! There is not a bad thing that I can say about it. I love the linen material-perfect for summer and spring. The button down detailing adds some pizazz to the dress, which I love. I have also been looking for a button down dress for a while now- so yay! A win for my wardrobe! And the color is just (insert thumbs up emoji here). This dress comes in many different colors and designs so there is a choice for everyone. I highly recommend it. I know I am going to pick up another couple in red and white to wear into fall and the next spring and summer! As you can tell I’m rather excited about this dress!

Have the best day & come back soon!

Happy Wednesday y’all! This week is going by so fast because of the holiday and I ain’t mad at it! Only one more day till I’m relaxing in Palm Springs. Yipeeeeee!

I know everybody says you can’t wear white after Labor Day, but I absolutely- 100%- do not agree with that sentiment. White is a neutral and neutrals can be worn year round. And technically you’re always going to be after Labor Day, that’s just how the calendar system works! LOL!

This look is totally easy to re- create! Jean shorts, a white strappy top and some cute flats and you are ready to jam! I love these paper bag waist shorts because they are super on trend but they are also loose enough that I don’t feel constricted. They are also under $30 and super fab.

Keep on keeping on and don’t forget to rock your whites!

Thanks for checking in!

Hi my little bebes! Hope you are having the best Monday thus far! Today's look is brought to you by Shein.com. I love shopping at their site because I always find something I love at a great price. Finding the trends of today is so simple because they literally have everything! I always buy something that I am super satisfied with when I receive it because the quality is better than you would expect for the price. This striped top is something I recently got and it is under $20. The same shirt at somewhere like Zara, would probably start at $60 and go up from there! Yikes, that's steep! Luckily Shein.com is always there to have your back, literally! I suggest you all check out their site because items go fast and you don't wanna miss out on scoring some great pieces at great prices!

Hello!

Today I want to beat your Monday blues away by showing you guys this little gem hidden in the city of Los Angeles. It’s called Lake Shrine and it is a beautiful place! It is supposed to be a place to find calmness and serenity through meditation, but I went for the nature and floral sightseeing opportunities! I wore this white maxi dress, a perfect dress to spend the last bits of summer in! I am pretty sure everyone thought that I was doing some sort of wedding shoot while I was there. That would be a nice place to shoot if any of you are in need of a good idea for wedding photos.  Please take in the beauty that these photos have to offer and have yourselves the best Monday you possibly can! I am trying to do the same.

P.s. I linked in some very similar white maxi dresses above if you are in the market for one!

I love a good blouse! Always have, always will. When I saw this top from Topshop, I knew it had to be mine. The fact that it was on mega sale for $20 only added to my need to purchase it. Next thing I knew, it was arriving at my door!

When I received it, I was even more delighted with it in person. The color was much more vibrant and purple than described or pictured. The ruffles only added to the already fun print of the shirt. I had reservations that this shirt might be a little loud for me to wear, but quite the contrary, it's very tastefully executed.

This look above might be better suited for a night out on the town, but this shirt no doubt can be worn during the day dressed up or down. I think a cute denim mini skirt or some denim culottes are in this blouses future this summer. As I’m writing this, I am actually thinking about how I will pair it for work tomorrow. Hmm? OH! Btw, how fun, sparkly, and amazing are these wraparound sandals!? I’m in love! I just purchased a similar pearl flat pair from Forever 21! Can’t wait for y’all to see those babies!

Yay! It’s the weekend!!! Enjoy it, love bugs!

White & Red in Shein..... 08/7/17

Top: Shein // Pants: similar here // Shoes:similar here // Bag: similar here

White and red is a summer color combo that always works. Red always pops perfectly against a crisp white background. This top from Shein.com, has all my favorite details rolled into one great shirt! The side tie, the embroidery, the poufy sleeves, and the peplum style are perfect additions to a great color duo.

This summer seems like it is only just beginning. The weather is incredibly humid and hot in the city of angels lately. On this particular day it was about 90 degrees wearing this, and although the top is breezy, I do wish I had been wearing shorts rather than jeans. I do love the heat, but not when it is humid. I’m more of a dry desert heat kinda gal! I’m excited to take this top into fall with me because I think it will look great with a jean skirt and some over the knee high heeled boots. Maybe I’ll even throw on my favorite charcoal fedora! Oooooo, making my fall dreams come true already!

I have done a few collabs with Shein in the past and every time I receive their product I am always incredibly happy. The quality is always much more than I expect. And their price point is the best part about my shopping experience. I could buy an almost identical top at Zara for triple the price of Shein.com. So they are definitely a place to find all of my style steals! Don’t wait to make a virtual shopping trip to their online store soon, because styles don’t last long on their site. If you want it, you better get it! Head over to Shein.com and score some end of summer digs to send your summer off with a bang!

Hope your week is amazing, peeps!

The Museum of Ice Cream is an instagrammer/ bloggers dream. There are so many opportunities to take photos or boomerangs. As an avid lover of color, that is what really drew me in to the whole thing, I mean the building is cotton candy pink for pete’s sake! It may have also been the chance to dive into a pool full of rainbow sprinkles- my favorite ice cream topping of all!

Each room was differently themed throughout the museum, where I tried to take a picture in each to really show you guys. Gummy bears, popsicles, and bananas were just some of the subjects this museum had to offer. As far as my knowledge goes, this museum is sold out to October, which is when it is scheduled to close. But who knows, it may stay longer because of its LA popularity. Be sure to sign up for their ticket wait list if you are interested in going, that is how I was able to purchase mine a few months back!

Jumpsuits are really making a comeback in a big way. I am seeing them everywhere this summer, and lets just say that I have oodles building up in my shopping carts across various websites. I love them because they can be worn casual or dressy and are extremely versatile in ones wardrobe these days. Plus they are a complete look and outfit, which means less time getting ready! Score!

I chose to wear a comfy yet on trend outfit for my museum day! This champagne satin jumpsuit was a perfect pick for this hot day. It was light and breezy and kept me cool in the 90-degree weather. I added some crushed velvet mules in pink (of course), to bring some style and extra color to this museum of ice cream fun! I have practically bought all of my mules from Forever 21, these included, and they are always the most comfortable and stylish. If you are in the market for mules, don’t hesitate to check our their website for some great finds.

Going on little adventures like this is what makes me the happiest. I didn’t know what to expect really when going to this museum but it sounded fun and…… free ice cream. I’m looking into exploring more of my city this summer so stay tuned as my journey continues!

Thanks for stopping by my little loves!

The Future of Design: Fashion in the Digital Age

As fashion continues to progress so does the consumer. I believe that the future of design will be tailored more to the individual rather than the eye of the designer. As our smart phones and data analysis tell us more and more about what a consumer wants, needs, and buys, the styles that are mass produced will resonate deeper within these bounds.

What people look at on the web or view and engage with on social media platforms will play a huge part in designers determining what styles and fashion pieces customers truly want to purchase, wear, and own. With this type of fine tuned metrics, design will be unique but also challenging. A designer cannot simply make a thousand of the same shirts without taking into consideration the fact that somewhere else; there are other people that are craving other specific designs. Because no individual is the same, they are not all wanting and viewing same or specifically similar items. This can pose troubles for the designer because currently designers are taught that they are to influence the trend, not the consumer. The consumer should buy what the designer is saying they should buy and wear. But as technology continues to advance, data analysis will as well. We will be able to see exactly what people want and where these people are located.

Designing items to be sold in stores around the world will be as tailor made as being able to geographically create styles for one region. People who live in Kentucky may not favor the same designs as a California girl. So knowing this type of data can greatly benefit the designer to create precise items for their consumer or target audience.

The future of design is still unknown. Trend analysists and executives in the fashion industry are trying to figure out what the future of design will look like in a rapidly advancing digital and technological marketplace. These views and opinions are my own. I believe that because we are moving towards a lifestyle of digital and advanced “big brother” type of measurements of human consumerism, that in the future, designers and the parameters of how they create will have to make a shift as well.

What do you guys believe the future of design will be? Like I said this is completely my own theory, but I would love to hear some of yours! Please let me know how you think fashion will evolve for the future!

Thanks for stopping by, loves! I hope you have an amazing Monday!

Printed Dress & A Color Pop.... 07/25/17

Dress: similar dress here // Boots: Zara // Sunnies: Le Specs // Bag: Cult Gaia

Welcome to my new blog post friends! Today’s read is about pairing prints and color. It may seem like you would either do one or the other, but quite the contrary, you can do both and still make your outfit look fly!

This dress has so much print to it! I love it! You really can’t go wrong with a black and white number!  The detailing of this dress is what really makes it. The print is very bold and I love the way it contrasts throughout the dress. I love that this dress has a kimono style top and how the waist and bottom are outlined throughout is very drawing as well. This is definitely an oldie but goodie as it has been sitting in my closet for some time now!

How funky are these yellow boots? My gosh! They make me swoon! As many previous posts have shown, yellow is my color this season. Here’s one more piece to add to my wardrobe before the summer is over. These boots are so great! I love the color, (Duh), but the pointed chelsea style is what really wins for me. I have a hard time finding ankle boots that actually fit my tiny ankle, so chelsea boots usually work in my favor.

I encourage everyone to try a printed dress with a bold colored shoe either this summer or fall season!!!

Have a great week!

Silk & Lace Cami Top YOU Need..... 07/18/17

Top: Shein // Denim: BDG // Shoes: F21 // Purse: similar HERE // Sunnies: Le Specs

Hello friends! Todays post is all about this beautiful silk and lace cami top from Shein. I love that at Shein.com I can always find something I love for a great price. This top was actually under $10 (what a steal!), but you would never know it! My shopping bag on their website is currently holding about 60 articles of clothing in it- it is so hard to choose because everything is too cute and too affordable.

When I saw this cami top, there was no convincing me, I was sold at first sight. I love the green and black color combo, something unique that I’ve never seen in a slip top before. I also love the ladder detailing mixed with the lace at the front of the top. It looks so sexy. This shirt also makes me feel extremely sexy when I wear it, so I love to bring it out for a night out. I chose to dress it in a more everyday fashion for this post. I added my new favorite black mules, which play really nicely with the strappy details of the top. Then added some girlfriend style jeans and a super chic purse and this look was ready to be shown off to the world! I loved this look so much that I actually wore it two days in a row, oops!

Have a great week!

Summer Picnic @ the Beach...... 07/14/17

Dress: Loft // Sandals: similar by Kensie

Dress: Loft // Sandals: similar by Kensie

With warm weather comes bright colors and bold prints. It doesn’t get any brighter or bolder than this lemonade halter dress from Loft! It screams summertime fun! The ruffle detailing at the bottom of the skirt, the racer back, and the keyhole in the front of the dress are details that add charm. These little extra details don’t overcrowd the already audacious print, but instead make it more feminine and ladylike. This dress is so light and easy to wear that it was perfect for a picnic at the beach, but don’t underestimate all the other places a dress like this can be worn. How about brunch with friends? A romantic date night with your beau? Or even a day out running errands in the sunshine? These are just some of the ways you can make this dress a versatile piece in your closet.

The beach and summertime go hand in hand, but throw some hors d’oeurves in and it is a whole new experience. I have never had a picnic before, let alone at the beach! I loved it! I suggest everyone tries this out this summer. You might get some weird looks like I did, but it was so worth it! Don’t forget the fluffy pillows and sheets to make it a cozy atmosphere!

Have a great weekend friends!

Isn’t it just the best feeling when you get 2 for 1? Well this post gets even better because it’s all about 3 for 1! 3 different looks within 1 co-ord set! Everyone knows I am fanatic about color; adding colored stripes is just like a dream come true for me. Two bright & bold pieces? Now I’m literally in heaven! I love wearing this set as one full outfit- it is so bold and makes me feel groovy! Can you say #fbf? But I am also in love with wearing them separately as well. The pants with a simple top like the black bralette is fabulously cute for summer to show some skin in all the right places! I think wearing the top alone with some distressed jeans and funky sandals is also a creative and unique way to pair this top effortlessly. The best part of this outfit might just be my lipstick. How great of a color is that? I am obsessing over this whole look and might not take any of these outfit combos off for the rest of summer! K byyyyyyeee!

A happy & healthy Monday!

One of the greatest joys in my life thus far, was when I got my dog Ren. He has brought me unimaginable amounts of joy during the last 5 years we've been together. His unconditional love has had a great effect on me. He's made me feel a type of love I have never experienced. I know, I know, I sound like a “crazy” cat lady, or in my case dog lady, but it’s the truth! I call him my little angel baby because I love him like a baby and I think he is perfect, although I know he has flaws too. Boy when he starts barking his high- pitched bark; your ears can REALLY feel it.

I have always had a dog in my life and for that I am extremely grateful. I wholeheartedly believe that dogs were domesticated to become “pets” for a reason. They truly are mans (and when I say man, I mean any human… bc like feminism), best friend! Many women probably feel this type of love towards their children, but since I do not have any yet, my dog is my baby for now. My little big boy is sleeping peacefully next to me, wrapped up in my robe as I'm writing. Gosh he’s cute!

My parents are thinking of getting a new dog currently and I am driving to northern California with my friend next week to pick up her new puppy. My sister also recently got a dog, and within their 4 short months together, I can already see the love and mutual respect they have for one another. My life has always been filled with dogs because they make me so happy. You can’t help but fall in love with these innocent creatures. I know me writing a whole blog post about my little love Ren, and not talking about my outfit AT ALL, is quite out of character for me, but if you knew me IRL, me talking about Ren’s cuteness is like 80% of my day.

Thanks for letting me share!

P.s- He's not the best at taking photos, as seen above. Still love that little thang though!

Proud to be an American.... 07/03/17

Dress: F21 // Shirt: Boohoo // Shoes: F21 // Bag: F21

Dress: F21 // Shirt: Boohoo // Shoes: F21 // Bag: F21

One day before the 4th of July and I am feeling calm, cool, and collected because I finally, for once, actually, have my outfit picked and ready to wear. Choosing an outfit for a major occasion (yes, the 4th is a MAJOR occasion) is always a great feat for me. This year I got proactive and decided to conquer this problem of mine head on!

For this fun summer holiday, I decided to keep my look tres-casual yet tres- chic! Centering it on three specific colors: RED, WHITE & BLUE! I am enamored with denim dresses lately so this overall style was an outstanding addition to my already overstuffed closet. I love the distressing details throughout this dress, they make me feel extremely on trend and edgy. I added a nice bright white long sleeve tee- to keep my look cool through the day, and keep me covered for the chilly night by the beach. Adding my pop shoe, which of course had to be red, I chose my comfiest, most enduring all day slides. I finished this no-frills look off with a nice big white bucket bag to hold all of my 4th of July necessities. These include: a bathing suit, sparklers, and maybe a few ice cold adult-natured drinks.

If I had to choose one color that really overtook this years holiday look, it definitely had to be white. White bag, white top, even white toes! I am looking forward to spending this sunny day with friends and family, including my little pup, Ren, who is really not so little (30 lbs!). What are you wearing for the 4th? And how will you be spending this summer holiday? I’d love to hear all about it and maybe showcase some ideas!

Happy 4th of July to you all!

Hey friends! I am so happy to be sharing this post with you all today! I am the biggest lover of color. If I could wear all the colors of the rainbow in one outfit without getting socially outcasted, I would! When I saw this very colorful skirt, I knew I HAD to snag it up! Color makes me smile, and so did this skirt right when I saw it. I could tell you I love a maxi skirt for the summertime because it keeps me feeling cool, but the real reason is because it means I don't have to shave my legs everyday! I know it's hard to tell with me always swinging my purse or popping my foot for the camera (LOL), but I am extremely lazy. Add summertime heat to the mix, and all bets are off for me being productive. How about you? That's why outfits like this are a lazy girls dream come true. You still look super cute and adorbs, without really trying at all! I don't like to show TOO much skin when I dress, but I think this crop tank added just the right amount of sexy and classy. I bought it for a friends birthday party to wear with high waisted trousers, but since then I have worn it basically a million times (<------ totally an accurate count). P.S... I'm also crushing pretty hard on this suede circle purse right now. I mean I'm so over that whole square purse thing. TeeHee. Yay for circles and other shapes!!! Definitely check out my links above to score this easy breezy beautiful cover girl look.

  See ya next time!

Cool Co-Ord for the Summer...... 06/24/17

Co-Ord: Shein // Shoes: Loft // Backpack: F21 // Chokers: F21 // Sunnies: Le Specs

Happy Saturday to all the beautiful people in the world! It feels a little strange to be posting on a Saturday since I've never done it before. But, what a great way to start my weekend and give yours a little fashion inspiration!

Two pieced outfits, or as I like to call them, co-ords are super in for this summer! Skirts with tube tops, pants with crop tops and shorts with tops are all great to wear when they are in a matching pattern or color combo. Plus you look fabulous while keeping cool for the summer and there is no guess work in trying to pull an outfit together because all the hard work is already done for you. I have days where I have "nothing" to wear, so co-ords are made for these indecisive days. I particularly like this set above not only for my love of stripes, but because I like the casualness of it. I feel as though matching sets are made to be worn in a more casual fashion. Of course there are co-ords that can be dressy, but I would wear those in a pant version. I highly recommend everyone getting themselves a fun and casual co-ord for summer 2017. There are plenty of options to choose from online or in stores. Boohoo.com, Forever21.com, Shein.com, and CharlotteRusse.com, all have great matching pieces that are under $40! OH! And how lovely is this mustard suede backpack? My love for yellow just continues to grow. This bag is perfect for packing light during summer while doing all those great outdoor summer activities! It is under $40 as well. Sometimes my best accessories are my most economically priced!!! How about you??

Please have the best weekend and thanks for dropping by!

An Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.... 06/21/17

We are now officially in Summer! Yay. Yay. Yay! One of my favorite things is to buy a new swimsuit every summer to make myself beach, pool, and vacay ready! I love that the trends for swimwear change annually, but the thing I DO NOT like is the ever sky rocketing prices of swimwear!   I am only wearing it for a season ( if that), so why do I have to spend $200? Swimwear can cost more than my favorite pair of jeans! I have rounded up my fave on trend swimwear pieces for Summer 2017. These pieces are affordable, nothing over $50, so you don't have to worry about dropping your entire paycheck on a suit that covers so minimal of an area. Enjoy my picks!

All swimwear can be found at Shein.com. Brought to you by Shein.

Yellow, Is It Me You're Looking For .... 06/14/17

Dress: BR Heritage, similar here, here, here  // Belt: old, similar here // Shoes: Loft // Bag: Cult Gaia      Happy hump day! I am loving yellow this year! I am so drawn to it, I want it on everything! Do you ever feel like a color out of nowhere just becomes your favorite and you can't stop buying it or wearing it? That is so me with yellow right now! This dress is the perfect summer dress! It is so bold with the ruffle all around the top and its button down front. I love that it is fitted but also has a little bit of flow to it. It is also in a linen blend, so its easy breezy ( literally), for summer! I belted mine, to create a better waistline for my small figure. Although this dress is no longer available, I have linked very similar options above. Everyone should have a great yellow dress in their closet! Yellow pieces really bring a great color pop to an outfit, and I am a huge fan of the brighter or more neon yellows in things such as shoes and accessories! Because this dress is so vibrant, I kept the rest of my look color toned down. You'll notice all of the accessory pieces are neutrals and made of natural materials such as straw, leather, or wood. I think they really play nicely with this bright dress and give it a very rustic vibe.      Thank you for stopping by and don't be shocked if you see yellow popping up in more posts to come! Hint, Hint.     Have a lovely day!     xoxo ~ Nicole

I think they really play nicely with this bright dress and give it a very rustic vibe.

Thank you for stopping by and don't be shocked if you see yellow popping up in more posts to come! Hint, Hint.

    Have a lovely day!

Palm Trees & 90+ Degrees.... 06/12/17

TOP: BR, similar here // JEANS: BR, similar here // SHOES: Asos, similar here // HAT: BR Factory // SUNNIES: Le Specs      Palm Springs is one of my favorite cities! I am a huge fan of the desert life and culture. I don't even mind the heat! When you add Palm Springs' close proximity to LA and the amazing architecturally savvy homes- I'm all in! This look was perfect for the heat, although someone else would probably switch my jean pants to jean shorts. Because boy, was it hot! Over 100 degrees! So yes, definitely shorts if you do not like the heat!     A palm printed top in Palm Springs... how clever, right?! LOL. But I do really love this top! It is so flowy and feminine. I love the pleated, cold shoulder, and waist details! Plus it is beautifully constructed and executed. I love the color combo of green and pink. They pair so well together. These photos really show off the heat of this city but also the beauty. Beautiful nature life and enormous desert mountains and a big beautiful blue sky fill this small city. The next city I want to visit with this outfit is Miami. I feel like my outfit and I would fit right in. Maybe one day.... Have the best week friends! xoxo ~ Nicole
